New internal users are required to attend an online (MC)2 introduction seminar which discusses our policies, in addition to relevant technique seminars, before signing up for hands-on training. We have introductory seminars on TEM, SEM, FIB, XPS, and micro-CT.
Once you have registered for a FOM account and our staff has confirmed the account, you should submit a request for the (MC)2 Introduction and the specific technique seminars required for the instruments you want to use. Requests are placed from the FOM User Home page under the Available Equipment section, then we will reach out to registrants with information on how to access our seminar material.
The technique and introduction seminars may be taken in any order as long as all are complete prior to the training on an instrument.
