Thermo Fisher Scientific will be presenting a morning seminar on Tuesday, June 24, in NCRC Building 10 South Atrium from 10 am – 12 pm, on new instruments available in the center. Rick Passey will be sharing application examples for the new Thermo tools that are in the process of installation in summer 2025 at (MC)².
Half of the presentation will discuss the capabilities of the G5 Hydra Plasma FIB, specifically covering the use of multiple gas ion species for milling samples (Xe, Ar, N2, O2). The second half of the presentation will discuss capabilities and application examples for the Quattro Environmental SEM (ESEM). Applications of low vacuum imaging, wet SEM imaging, and in-situ hot stage workflows will be discussed.
There will be time for discussion and questions afterwards, so we encourage lab users to ask about specific experimental goals for the new instruments.
Coffee and a light breakfast will be provided. Please register here if you plan to attend: 6/24 Thermo Fisher Seminar Registration
